 MSPT Award 

Purpose of the Award

The MSPT Awards are designed to provide financial assistance and support to the Members of the Society for presenting their work related to the pharmaceutics or pharmaceutical technology in both national and international conferences.

Eligibility

Only Members of the Society can apply for the MSPT Award. Priority will be given to postgraduate students who have never received the award and also for oral presentation delivered at the international level. Nevertheless, the award is open to all Members who are selected for either poster or oral presentation. 

Application and General Rules

MSPT accepts applications all year round; applications are considered three times a year (deadline: 30 April, 31 August and 31 December). To apply for the MSPT Award, fill in the application form (click here to download) and submit a scanned copy electronically to mspt@usm.my along with other supporting documents including a proof of acceptance to conference, an abstract for the conference, a proof of current student status (students only) and a letter of recommendation from supervisor (students only). All applications should be submitted to MSPT at least a month before the start of the conference. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered by the MSPT Awards and Travelships Committee. Funding is not guaranteed because every application is considered on its merits. There may be occasions when it is not possible to provide an award.

Claiming an Award

Successful applicants will be notified through email. The MSPT Awards will be reimbursed and an award certificate will be issuedto successful applicants upon the provision of evidence of attendance to the conference, receipts for all expenses and a short report (including photos) on the benefits of this travel award and your experience at the conference (click here to download the report form). The claiming of the award should be done within a month after the conference ends. The report is required to provide feedback on the success of the MSPT Award and may be used for online publication on this website.
