Welcome to the MSPT Coffee Talk 2022 Series!

Clinical research forms the foundation for better care and prevention of Covid-19. It is also a necessary step forward towards a Covid-free society. However, the ethical considerations behind such research are not always straightforward.

Professor Phaik Yeong Cheah is a professor of Global Health of the University of Oxford, and the founder and head of the Bioethics and Engagement Department of the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU), Bangkok. She is well-versed in clinical ethics and clinical research and has numerous achievements under her belt. Hence, MSPT is honoured to have Prof. Cheah with us to enlighten us on research ethics in the global crisis that plagues the world today.
