Welcome to the MSPT Coffee Talk 2021 Series!

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are commonly described as membranous entities released by the cells into extracellular space. They are not able to replicate and are involved in cell-to-cell communication. The use of EVs as cell-free therapy tools has fast become an emerging therapeutic approach. However, owing to the complex nature of EVs-based therapies, multiple hurdles still need to be resolved.

MSPT is pleased to have Dr. Ooi Der Jiun, a senior lecturer in the Department of Oral Biology and Medical Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry, MAHSA University, to provide an overview on the current knowledge of EVs-based therapies and discuss some important considerations to working with EVs.
